The Topic
Join Hetty and Liz as they co-present a thought-provoking webinar exploring the limitations of the factory/controller model in organizations, which advocates for perpetual growth and uniform productivity, often treating individuals as mere cogs in a machine. Together, they delve into the recognition that the rhythms of nature provide a healthier source of inspiration for human organizing compared to machine-centric approaches, acknowledging the challenges in translating this wisdom into practical applications.
The dynamic duo introduces the audience to the Celtic calendar, an ancient model deeply rooted in the seasons of the British Isles. Using the changing light and seasons as a foundation, this imaginatively evocative tool serves as a guide to harnessing energy to maximum effect and fostering eco-systemic work.
Throughout the session, Hetty and Liz explain the intricacies of the Celtic calendar, shedding light on its application in their work with women leaders and in their personal lives. This webinar aims to provide insights into adopting a more holistic, nature-inspired approach to human organizing.
The Agenda
In the first half of the webinar, Hetty and Liz will make their presentation and facilitate initial responses.
In the second half, we'll move into a reflection-application session:
- 'Composting': experienced peers work the material in small groups to sprout new ideas;
- 'Weaving': attendees gather to collectively reflect and question, weaving our experiences together;
- Discuss how we will apply learnings to our personal practice in Reflection Application Pairs (RAPs).
