Unleashing leadership across your organisation
Leadership Formation
30+ years of experience working with leaders at world-leading organisations like Microsoft, UN, London Business School, NHS, HSBC, & Save The Children has shown us that leadership is not attained by classroom teaching or skills training.
Leaders are formed by experience!
At the Eco-Leadership Institute, we co-create Leadership Formation experiences to unleash leadership - enabling it to flourish everywhere.
We created Eco-Leadership practices by listening to leaders who told us that existing leadership theories and practices were no longer fit for purpose. They demanded new leadership approaches that met the real challenges they faced.
We help organizations to create Eco-Leadership cultures through our Leadership Formation offerings, each tailored to meet the needs of your organisation
What happens on the Leadership Exchange?
A large-scale exchange process where individuals are carefully paired to build new relationships, breaking silos and creating a web of connectivity across the organizational ecosystem
Individuals are trained in observation and reflective practices before they undertake visits with their exchange partner
On the visit, they observe, reflect, learn, share, journal, and give feedback
All individuals receive coaching debriefs to embed the rich learning
The coaches collect key themes and insights, put these into a cultural audit to share as organisational learning
This leadership exchange process achieves two aims:
1. Personal leadership development that makes a difference
2. Organisational development that leads to culture change
This is networked leadership in action, and very useful for culture change, mergers, and organizations in transition.
This exchange is adapted from our successful Lead2lead exchange program, drawing on our experience of running the leadership exchange program on Henry Mintzberg's International Masters for Practicing Managers, IMPM.
Eco-Leadership Exchange
How will this help my organisation?
Powerful impact on personal leadership development
New connections are made across company silos, aligning company culture and spreading best practices
Organizational learning is harvested from multiple exchanges, taken from the coaching debriefs
Senior leadership reflects on this organizational learning; we coach you to implement strategies, build on the strengths, overcome challenges, and deliver on new ideas
This action-learning event brings 30-60 employees through a learning experience that has proven to deliver superb results.
Building on 50 years of the Tavistock Group Relations tradition of experiential learning, this event brings this learning methodology into the era of networked organizations.
Participants experience the limitations of controlling leadership and begin to learn from experience what distributed leadership means in practice.
